Ashes to Ashes

One of the pre-tasks pieces I did for some schools during summer. Basically it’s just half-assed space stuff. The idea came from a poem (written by the nicest lady) I was suppose to illustrate.

Here’s some poorly translated bits from the poem. “Bravely walking in a fire wearing an aluminium suit, turning scorched bundles…At irregular intervals I undress, but see that I’m already out of the blaze and then instantly yearn to get back…Disappointment hums flatly in a smoke-free, static air…My soles desire for hot coals like stearin craves for sulfur and friction…”
