Oops, I haven't visited dA in over nine months. I moved to different town and started studying restoration couple weeks ago. I'm still not sure if this was the right decision since we haven't actually done any practical work yet but atm restoration seems quite interesting.

The town is quite nice. I haven't explored it properly since there's so many shops and stuff everywhere (at least compared to my dear lil' home town).

Despite feeling like a complete failure of an person, this was a great year. I got one big painting finished at work and I have few commission things to work on at the beginning of the year.

I saw three movies made this year (which is really rare 'cause I'm bloody slow what it comes to new films). Scream 4, Attack the Block and Submarine. Liked them all. Also I bought and watched the whole series of Twin Peaks. It's probably the most glorious show ever! Fell in love with The Young Ones after only one episode. All around I just watched a lot of movies and discovered that I adore horror movies (especially older ones) and all kinds of campy shit.

I've met some really awesome people online. It's nice to finally feel somehow connected to people through similar interests and whatnot. Life feels so much more tolerable now. So thanks!

My Kalevala colouring book got published and I was interviewed for a local paper. I haven't looked at the interview yet 'cause I know it's bloody awkward.

Got a job after not doing anything for two months. It's sort of my first official job. First week went...fine. "Designed" a logo for a cover band's T-shirt and did some simple upholstering. AND cleaned the toilets.

Haven't drawn much. I've been focusing more on being awake at night, watching interesting movies and finding strange stuff online. Obviously that changed now becuse I have to wake up at 6 - 7 on four weekdays. Trying to catch up on things on weekends.

I sincerely recommend watching especially Ed Wood (directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp), Ghost World (awkward and hilarious) and The Fall (f*cking epic and visually gorgeous movie starring Lee Pace).

PS. I got Moleskine sketchbook! It might just be the best thing ever. I'll start using it someday in the future.

My Kalevala-project was wrapped up couple weeks ago. I'll see the finished product later in January. I'm not entirely happy with my boss' cover choice, but I don't have much to say on that matter, it appears. We'll see...

Next year I have to find and try to apply into some polytechnic school. Gah. Tomorrow I will start the ice skating season and that'll be my new year's resolution.

Having a huge artblock, but somehow it doesn't feel bad at all. I'm not sure should I feel worried about that, because that might mean that I've given up completely.

I've spent a lot of time discovering and sharing interesting art on interwebster and it has opened my eyes nicely. There's so many inspiring and amazing artists and finding a new one gets me f*cking excited every time!

My Kalevala coloring book is on it's final stretch. Only about 10 pages to draw. Since the deadline got postponed slightly, I'll manage. My co-worker will start scanning the finished pictures on monday.
